March 20, 2023 | Mission, BC

Fraser House Society has offered substance use services in the community of Mission, BC for over 50 years. With a financial contribution from Health Canada’s Substance Use and Addiction Program (SUAP), we are happy to announce the launch of a new project creating conversation with men in the trades across the Fraser Region and ultimately across British Columbia.

Men in the trades between the ages of 19 and 59 have been severely impacted by deaths from the toxic drug supply. According to the BC Coroner’s Report in 2022, 70% of fatalities were people ages 30-59 and 79% of these people were male. Our province continues to lose an average of six people per day.  This project will utilize living experience expertise to create podcast episodes related to health, people who identify as men, and substance use.

For more information about the project, please call 604-861-8220 or email tradespodcast@gmail.com.
