As part of International Overdose Awareness Month, the Mission Overdose Community Action Team (MOCAT), in collaboration with the Mission Friendship Centre Society, hosted "Dragonfly Dreams" on August 26th at Fraser River Heritage Park. The day was dedicated to remembering loved ones lost to the unregulated drug health emergency and was a call to action - to dream into being the transformation needed for our community and country: evidence-based drug policy, accessible health services and compassion for all.
Fraser House Society, producer of Off The Clock Toolbox Talk (OTCTBT), was honoured to be on site in support of Dragonfly Dreams and to spread awareness about the podcast.
The very special day included live music, resources, naloxone training, refreshments and activities. People were encouraged to paint a dragonfly for the Make a Difference Mandala. A warm thank you to Kat Wahamaa, the entire MOCAT team and the Mission Friendship Centre Society for inviting Off The Clock Toolbox Talk to participate in this beautiful event.
